I don’t consider myself a very good blogger. I wasn’t one to keep a diary when I was a kid…not for more than a few days anyway. My Mom always said, “don’t start something you can’t finish” and I am pretty sure my Dad meant the same thing when he told me “don’t do anything half-ass”. With those mantras in mind…and at the request of many friends…I’m making my baking more accessible. And hopefully, along the way, I will pick up some followers, meet some new friends, find some new recipes and tricks-of-the-trade, and perhaps…just perhaps…make this whole baking thing more than just a hobby!
I suppose a little bit about myself is in order. I’m firmly settled in the greater Boston area, by way of Vermont. I’ll always be a Vermonter at heart, but Boston is where I ended up. I’ve been here going on 17 years now and while I look back, a lot, I’m happy I stayed. My
child cat, Oliver, who will be featured, most likely prominently, in my side bar for you Instagram fans and I live a few minutes south of “the city”. Pictures of Ollie and my cupcakes are my favorite snapshots to take.
I love to bake, but it’s not the baking that drew me in. It’s baking pretty. I love to decorate, to make cakes and cupcakes pretty, unique, or just visually impactful. Heck, I like making purty pies, too. Sometimes, it’s the simplest designs that end up being the most beautiful. I just want to share with you my favorite (read: I was going to write “favorite successes” but I think that you will be entertained by the not-so-successful ones as well) … so let’s just say, I’ll share my favorites – the good, the bad and the ugly.
Always feel free to use the Contact Me section and let’s chat! I would love to hear from you!
Til next time,
