Bagels and Lox Cupcake? Whaaaat? You betcha.
I frosted each cupcake with an orange tinted buttercream frosting.
I cut mini donuts in half (I tried to find the “original” kind but my grocer only had the “cinnamon” ones that day).
I put a little schmear of white buttercream on one half of the donut.
Topped it with an orange Starburst (rolled out, shaped and lined like a little piece of salmon) and little cut up green Twizzlers (capers).
Super cute, especially if you are hosting an event around brunch-time!
